Langtang Tamang Heritage Trail

Posted by Andy on Friday, January 16, 2015

One of the newest trekking routes in Nepal located between Langtang and Ganesh Himal, this is a culturally-rich region steeped in Tibetan tradition. This is a relatively easy trek through picturesque villages, terraced fields, and peaceful valleys where you will encounter few other trekkers. Enjoy panoramic mountain views, the natural hot springs at Tatopan, and the unique architecture of the Tamang village homes. Near the end of the trek we enjoy a homestay experience in Briddim with time to relax and discover more about the local traditions of this region.

Note: The Tamang Heritage trek can be combined with the Langtang and Gosaikunda treks for a very diverse and challenging trekking experience with up to 17 days trekking.

 Highlights of the trek
Alpine scenery, hot springs at Tatopani, uncrowded trails, welcoming homestays with opportunity to mix with the local Tamang villagers.
